Zema Redux
The Zema Redux is a remodel and rehabilitation of a early 1970s era home designed by PNW architect Gene Zema. The clients came to us to solve a leaky skylight that was placed in the valley of a unique ‘M’ shaped roof. Our solution; introduce a new north facing clerestory in the middle of the home, which remedied the previous poor drainage strategy. The new clerestory keyed into the existing geometry and construction of the home - this preserved the original character and spirit of the home and repositioned it for many more years to come.
